Exploring the Infinite: The Journey of Creation

As an artist, I have come to realize that the act of creation is a sacred journey, especially when your work is deeply intertwined with themes of spirituality, self-realization, and self-reflection. My path as a creator has been a profound and transformative experience, enriched by a spiritual awakening that continues to inspire my work. Recently, my art has been centered on the sacred divine feminine energy and something I have been exploring within myself. In this blog post, I’d like to share how I come up with new ideas and the processes that guide my creative expression.

Embracing Stillness

Every new painting begins with a spark of inspiration, for me this can often be found in moments of stillness. Meditation has become an essential part of my routine, providing a quiet space where I can connect with my inner self and the vast universe. While I’m not always diligent in this practice, in these moments of silence, I often receive visions and ideas that later become the foundation of my art. It's as if the universe whispers its secrets, revealing the beauty and strength of the divine. We are all a part of this divine energy channeling our higher self for guidance.

Drawing from the Earth and Stars

Nature serves as an endless source of inspiration. The rhythmic dance of moving water, the whisper of the wind through the trees, and the silent, eternal presence of the stars all hold profound wisdom. During my walks in nature, I pay attention to the colors, shapes, and patterns that catch my eye. I contemplate the interconnectedness of all life and how the divine feminine energy manifests in these natural forms. The subtle hues of a sunset, the intricate design of a flower, or the majestic glow of the moon often find their way into my paintings. Some elements I come across so much in life that they have become a symbol and a nod from the universe that I’m on the right path.

For example, below a blue jay landed on a chair with the word love written on it. Blue has been a significant color in my life, always a favorite for some reason and I keep seeing blue birds on these walks a lot.

Trees are so magnificent in the way they stand so elegantly protecting the earth and the life that lives within them. They’ve become my friends who whisper stories brought to them by the wind. You can feel how alive they are.

The way light dances across the grass as it peaks through the trees on a summer evening is something I could never get tired of.

Exploring the Subconscious

Dreams are another wellspring of inspiration. They are a gateway to the subconscious mind, where deeper truths and unspoken emotions reside. I keep a dream journal by my bedside, noting down vivid images, feelings, and symbols that appear in my dreams. These nocturnal journeys often reveal powerful archetypes of the divine feminine, guiding me to explore themes of rebirth, transformation, and inner strength in my work.
